After Tuesday's active weather it was nice to get a quiet weather day in the wake of the system that moved earlier this week.
The break won't last too long, however, as rain expected back in the forecast by the end of the week.
Thursday should remain fairly quiet although a few strong storms will be possible north of I-10 in the afternoon once the atmosphere begins to destabilize.
Storms will be isolated during the day but ones that do begin to pop up should be watched closely as they evolve.
Otherwise expect another hot one Thursday and for the most part the skies will be relatively clear through the majority of the day.
The next significant chance for rain will arrive ahead of the front with a round of scattered showers for Friday's morning commute, although after a brief break showers and storms expected to continue.
In the meantime temperatures not anticipated to move much even before and after the front highs will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s.
Good news is though the weekend, as of midweek, is looking pleasant.
