Shooting Leads Ministry to Hold Anti-Violence Rally

An Abbeville ministry will hold an anti-violence rally Friday in response to a fatal shooting that happened this weekend. Police say the victim was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon behind his home in the 400 block of South Lyman Street. The victim, whose name still has not been released, died at a local hospital. Dedrick Maze is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the case. The Hood Hospital Ministry will conduct the rally at 6:30 Friday night at 301 Dutel Street, one block from the murder site.
