Shooting in New Orleans kills woman, injures man

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police are investigating a fatal shooting that killed a woman and injured a man.
Police says a gunman opened fire on a car Sunday evening with three people inside.
Detectives say a 48-year-old woman was struck in the chest and a 31-year-old man was struck in the wrist. The driver of the car was not hurt and drove both victims to an area hospital where the woman was later pronounced dead. The man is listed in stable condition.
The woman's identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Detectives have not named any suspects or motive in the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
