Shooting Death of Newellton Bartender

NEWELLTON, La. (AP) - State police and Tensas Parish sheriff's
deputies are investigating the shooting death of a Newellton
bartender.
Trooper Mark Dennis tells The News-Star that 47-year-old Carl
Crain, of Winnsboro, was shot during a robbery Sunday night at the
Highway 4 Bar where he work. Dennis said Crain died a short time
later from his wounds.
Dennis said the incident occurred around the time the bar
closed. He said no arrests have been made and the investigation is
ongoing.
