Shooter Sought in Lafayette

Lafayette Police are investigating a shooting in the 400 block of Bertrand Drive. It happened just after 2:00 this morning. Witnesses say the driver of a white pickup truck was operating recklessly on the roadway. They approached the driver, that's when they say he pulled out a shotgun and fired twice. The witnesses were not injured, however the shots struck a passing vehicle, and nearly struck the occupants of the passing vehicle. The occupants of the pickup truck were described as young white males, possibly dressed in camouflage clothing. The pickup truck is described as a white Chevrolet Silverado, last seen traveling northbound on Bertrand Dr.

Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Lafayette Police or Crimestoppers at 232-TIPS.
