NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A global shipping company has added the Port of New Orleans as a stop on its new weekly container shipping service.
New Orleans City Business reports that the port's container terminal will be added to Israel-based ZIM Integrated Shipping Ltd.'s "Caribbean Gulf Express" service. The service also stops in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica.
Port President and CEO Gary LaGrange said in a statement that the new service will enhance options for shippers and importers.
