Sheriff Warns of Scam in St. Landry Parish

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz is warning the public about a new scam in St. Landry Parish. The scammers call residents, claiming to work for the local court system. The caller tells you that you've failed to report for jury duty and a warrant has been issued for your arrest.
The victim then claims they've never received the jury duty notification. The scammer then asks for confidential information to verify, including credit card information, social security numbers, and other private information.
