Sheriff's Office Receives Grant for Counselor

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office has been awarded a grant for nearly $100,000. That money, which will be received over a three-year period, will be used to hire a licensed professional counselor. This counselor will provide services to St. Landry Parish children whose parents are incarcerated. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says the counseling sessions will begin as soon as the therapist is hire.
