Sheriff Kops & Kids Hunting & Fishing Club All Girls campout

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz announced today Sheriff Kops & Kids Hunting & Fishing Club will have an 'All Girls' campout the weekend of January 23rd, 2010 at the Washington, Louisiana campsite. The weekend counselors will be commissioned female officers and volunteer female counselors from the community.

Sheriff Guidroz said, "The first weekend campout for the boys was held in December 2009 and was a huge success. This is the first weekend campout for the girls. If parents, guardians, or any member of the public would like to visit the facility, you may do so between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 2:30p.m., Monday through Friday. Facility supervisor, Deputy Ricky Charles will be on location to give a guided tour and explain the weekend agenda."

"The campsite and lodge is located on La. 182 just south of Washington, La., between Washington and Nuba," Guidroz added.

Ten girls will be selected for the campout and the schedule for pickup and return is as follows:

Saturday morning - January 23, 2010 - Pick up kids at the Sheriff department at 8:00a.m.

Sunday afternoon - January 24, 2010 - Return kids to the Sheriff Department at 1:30p.m.
