EDGARD, La. (AP) - St. John Parish Sheriff Wayne Jones says there is forensic evidence linking at least two of the three killings that have taken place there in six weeks.
Jones tells WDSU-TV that forensic evidence links the first two homicides. Jones is waiting on forensic evidence and an autopsy in the third case, but says he thinks the slaying is also linked.
The latest shooting occurred Friday when 42-year-old Frank Lewis was gunned down on his front step.
On May 8, just a few streets away from Lewis' home, a woman said she came home to find her boyfriend dead. A couple of days earlier, another man was shot.
