The Shadows-on-the-Teche in downtown New Iberia is holding a Spring Arts & Crafts Fair Saturday, March 2. The event will begin at 9 am and last until 4 pm and feature nearly 100 vendors from across the state selling and show casing their original work. Admission will be $5 for ages 12 and older and $3 for children ages 6-11. Admission will include access to vendors and a tour of the Shadows home. The event will also include food vendors. The following is a press release sent to us by Shadows-on-the-Teche about their upcoming event:
Mark your calendar now for the Shadows-on-the-Teche Spring Arts and Crafts Fair, Saturday, March 2nd from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Almost 100 vendors from around the state will exhibit and sell their original work in the Shadows Gardens.
Admission to the fair is $5.00 per person (age 12 and older) and $3.00 per child (age 6-11) and includes a tour of the Shadows where guides and crafters will focus on women's skills. This tour occurs between 11:00-3:00. Raffle tickets will be sold to win items donated by the vendors. Food vendors will have pork chop sandwiches, tamales, kettle corn, chocolate fudge, cupcakes, and more tasty treats to enjoy while you shop!
Come enjoy a fun day in the Shadows Gardens while supporting local artists, craftsmen and the beautiful Shadows-on-the-Teche. The Shadows is located at 317 East Main Street in New Iberia. All funds raised will be used for the continued preservation of Shadows-on-the-Teche, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
