Severe Weather & Flooding Pummel Northern Acadiana

Flood Warnings continue for portions of Allen, Evangeline, Avoyelles and Rapides Parishes through 800pm tonight as strong storms have "trained" across the area.

Rainfall totals of 2-6" have fallen across the warned area through early Friday afternoon likely leading to localized street flooding.

In addition, a few storms became severe this afternoon with possible tornadoes indicated by radar early and again late this morning through early this afternoon.

The chance of showers and storms will remain high through Saturday evening with a slight risk of severe weather to continue before a cool front arrives Saturday night.
