i would also like to add: Since YOU claim that the kids ALWAYS went to day care with bruises, why was something not done before this happened?! Is this what it takes, a death, before OCS decides to step in and "investigate"? Shame on them!
My heart truly goes out for this family,But I feel like if there was abuse someone should look into it.Rather then bury the child and someone call the police and say there was child abuse going on in this home and having to pull up the body and do a full investigation.As a mother I would be relieved there doing it now rather then disturb my child. I feel like people are doing there job as police enforcement and News reporters. News reporters are just airing the news they get from the media. No one should criticize these people for doing there job.Cause if these people as law enforcement and as new reporters was'nt doing their jobs then this would be another topic! Im really happy someone stood up for this boy,I understand as her friend people are upset. But people are only doing their job to serve and protect this 3-year old boy who possibly may have been abused! If people are the childs mothers friend then stand up for what you think maybe happen. But I just feel like people should speak for this baby who is no longer with us. And I really hope these results turn out for the best for everyone!Including this child
If this child was being abused why did no one step up to the plate & report it until now, after the child has passed. Where was this person's compassion for the child then, if that's the case?? I think if found that the child was abused and the person who reported it waited until it was too late they should be arrested as well as anyone else involved. If they knew of any abuse and waited this long to report it they're just as guilty. Chances are, this is probably a false allegation from someone who has it in for the family and is using OCS for revenge as many do. My ex husband's wife tried the same crap with me cause she was ticked because some of his precious dollars were going to be going to child support instead of her. The report was made just a few days after we went to court for child support. I was cleared, but it was still humiliating. I don't fault OCS for checking it out, but the people who make false allegations should be punished in some way, it happens much too often. People get angry and try to hit those they're angry with where it hurts, with their children. And how many 3 years olds don't get bruises? Give me a break. I know there are cases where children are abused, but I have 3 children and they were always getting bruises when they were 2 and 3, from running into things, climbing, falling, throwing things... & they still do.
First of all, as a proud, educated, succesful black man, I am embarrassed by the accusations you people are making. The coroner reported bruises on the child. For those of you uneducated folks, which is a very large percentage of you (obvious by the horrible spelling and grammatical errors), the coroner is the person who deals with the body from the time the person is declared dead until the body needs to be prepared for funeral services. Child Services along with police officials are investigating this because of these findings. To falsely accuse an innocent person of reporting such findings is absolutely disgusting and immoral in so many ways.
And think about this: if this person did make this report to child services why would anyone report finding bruises on a child if there were no bruises. No one except for the coroner reported bruises. Who started this horrible rumor that an innocent person did something like this? Do any of you have any evidence that someone besides a coroner reported this? And if someone did report finding bruises on a young child, wouldn't you want it to be reported?
It is ashame that the police intruded on the boy's funeral and understandable that many of us are angry at this. Whoever made that call will probably deal with a lot of criticism for it. But to threaten a person who was not involved is just a wrong way to handle such a thing. You blame others to make yourself and your actions feel justified. It is far from that.
The battered child is now in a better place and he is being held by God. Whoever put those bruises on that child should be the one that all you people are angry with. I am ashamed of my race and hope that you people see the light one day.
Well Mr. Charles, thank you for blessing us po dumb folks with your insight. You should get a refund from your alma mater because they didn?t teach you reading comprehension. There is nothing in the above paragraph that says anything about the coroner reporting bruises. Why would a coroner examine a body, release it, and then request it back? Could it be possible that someone filed a child abuse report after the child?s death, thus by law forcing him to do a reexamination even though he had previously attributed the child?s death due to complications from the swine flu? Secondly, do you really think it was necessary for the authorities to interrupt the FUNERAL SERVICE to investigate this??? Lastly, none of the bloggers declared their race. You drew your own assumptions. I?m sorry you are ashamed of ?us people?, but we don?t need your condescending uppity self. Oh and by the way..I googled your name and nothing came up..which tells me that you are not as educated and successful as you think you are..and definitely not as educated as I am.
