LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Sentencing of a Lake Charles man convicted in April of simple rape has been moved to Sept. 14.
The American Press reports 49-year-old Robert Neal Green was convicted of sexually assaulting an intoxicated 17-year-old co-worker on Oct. 31, 2009.
He faces up to 25 years in prison.
The victim testified during Green's trial that she drank vodka mixed with juice while working with the defendant at a local fast-food restaurant.
When she became too intoxicated to drive, she said Green took over driving her truck. She said the next thing she remembered was being awakened in pain because Green was having sex with her.
