THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Authorities have booked a second man in connection with the shooting death of a Thibodaux bar owner nearly six years ago.
The Lafourche Parish sheriff says 26-year-old William Bryant was booked Monday with first-degree murder. The Courier reported Bryant is a former Thibodaux resident and now an inmate in a state prison in Kinder. He's serving sentences for attempted armed robbery and carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Authorities booked 34-year-old Joey Folse last week with first-degree murder in the death of Bruce Williams, who was killed May 22, 2006, near his Thibodaux home. Investigators say the apparent motive was robbery.
The sheriff's office says its cold case investigator, John Dillman, reopened the case in November at the Thibodaux Police Department's request.
