Second Line with The Michael Foster Project

The City of Franklin's Christmas parade and lamp-lighting ceremony will be Saturday, December 7, 2013.

Line-up for the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the corner of Jackson and Main Streets. The parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m.

School groups, churches, nonprofit organizations, social groups and veterans are welcome to walk in the parade. People who own golf carts are invited to register their golf carts, to decorate them and drive them in the parade. All participants are asked to sign up by 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 27.

"The Michael Foster Project will participate in this year's parade. This band is a New Orleans-style brass band, and the members will encourage attendees to follow them as a part of a second line." Mayor Harris said. "Additionally, The Michael Foster Project will perform behind the Blevins building the after the lamp-lighting ceremony."
