In Baton Rouge this weekend, it is one big party over at Tiger Stadium.

The Bayou Country Superfest kicked off Saturday and KATC'S Chris Welty was there and met up with some die hard country fans.

"Good music and let the good times roll cher," said Dylan Ainsworth from Lafayette.

Thousands of people were doing just that, soaking up the sun and enjoying hits from their favorite country superstars. Folks came from all over the country including a pair of friends who drove all the way from new jersey for the concert. They say in New Jersey, you cannot attend a concert there and see as many artists as you do here for the price.

For many fans having headliner after headliner performing at one concert sealed the deal to attend the second annual superfest, but for some fans they were also hoping to possibly meet their idols.

Unfortunately, for some country fans the closest they got to meeting the real Tim McGraw or Kenny Chesney was getting to stand next to the cardboard cutout and get their picture taken.

Although not all fans were able to meet their idol, the day was all about the thrill of the music and enjoying time with family and friends.

"The rush and the thrill of being here is amazing, people back home where we work at will envy us very much."

A thrill that will make this a memorable Memorial Day weekend.
