RACELAND, La. (AP) - Lafourche Parish sheriff's deputies say a man made off with cash from a Raceland bank after handling a teller a threatening note.
The suspect in Thursday afternoon's robbery is described as being between 25 and 30 years old with brown hair, a brown beard and weighing between 250 and 300 pounds. Police told The Daily Comet that the man walked up to a teller at a Chase Bank branch on Louisiana Highway 182 and handed the teller a note that said: "Give me all your 50s and 100s and no one will get hurt."
The man did not show a weapon. He drove away in a Chevrolet sport utility vehicle and was last seen heading toward Thibodaux.
