Search for Ville Platte Bank Robber

The search is on for a Ville Platte bank robber and authorities hope surveillance images will help them catch the thief.
The male subject approached a teller at Hancock Back Monday morning around 10:00 a.m. and produced a note demanding money. The robber grabbed the cash from the teller's hand and walked out of the bank without further incident.
According to video surveillance and descriptions from bystanders, the suspect is a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, approximately 130 to 140 pounds wearing a black wind breaker type jacket, black cap, purple three button polo-type shirt, and sunglasses.
Chief Lartigue is asking anyone who may have seen someone fitting the description of the suspect to call 363-1313.
