For the second year in a row, the Scott Police Department (SPD) has teamed up with Walgreens to collect old medicine.
The collaborative effort is part of a nationwide Drug Take-Back Day.
This coming Saturday, April 26, from 10a.m.-2p.m., the public is urged to bring unused or expired medication to Walgreens at 5416 Cameron St so that it safely can be disposed of by professionals.
Last year's effort took in 26 cases of medication weighing over 500 pounds. Scott Police say this is a very easy and safe way to properly dispose of old medication from yourself or a family member. If you should have any questions, please call the Scott Police Department at 233-3715.
