Acadia Parish public school students will lose an upcoming day off to make up classroom time lost to the recent flood. Superintendent John Bourque says the system will make next Tuesday an instructional day. The day was scheduled as a parent-teacher day and part of a four-day weekend for students. Bourque added this is the only make-up day that will be added to the calendar, as they system had enough built-in minutes to offset other days missed due to Hurricane Isaac and last week's storms.
