Scene of suspicious device cleared

State police have given the all clear at the scene of a suspicious device on Garfield St. in Lafayette. Alton Trahan with the Lafayette Fire Department says crews responded around 12:30 this afternoon. According to Trahan, a dumpster diver found the alleged suspicious device and called 911. Crews on the scene found nothing dangerous and have called the witness back to the scene for questioning. KATC's Steven Albritton is gathering more info.
