Scattered Showers for Father's Day

As many are aware Sunday is Father's Day, those that were unaware there is still time to get at least a card, so to all those dads and dads-to-be take a load off and enjoy the day.

The weather is looking slightly more unsettled then it did on Saturday but by no stretch is it going to be a wash out.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms will start to pop up by about mid-morning and continue through into the afternoon and evening.

Showers will be slightly more numerous along the coastline and along the basin but even then will remain fairly scattered.

Some of the showers will produce some lightning and thunder so if you have outdoor plans keep an eye on the radar as the storms will be pop-up in nature.

Anyone looking for a the best time to be outside should plan to be out the door early to get a jump on the showers, and try and beat the heat.

Highs will be back up pushing 90 again Sunday with a heat index getting closer to the mid 90s so another hot one in store for Louisiana.
