A scam alert in Acadia Parish to report.
Sheriff's Officials say it works like this, someone calls and says they are a court officer and that you failed to report for jury duty, the caller then asks for personal information for verification purposes.
Officials say hang up and of course never give out personal information when you receive an unsolicited phone call.
