Sandbags are available in Ville Platte at the city barn at 809 West Hickory Street. Bags are prepared and ready to be picked up. Mayor Jennifer Vidrine says there is no flooding in Ville Platte, but she is making sandbags available ahead of projected heavy rain.
In St. Martin Parish, sandbags will be available at two locations today from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Please bring your own shovels to fill the sandbags. According to Major Ginny Higgins, there are no areas currently flooded. Sandbags are being made available as a precaution.

South Barn-Capritto Forty Arpent Rd.
Broussard has sandbags available behind City Hall on Madison street.
Carencro will have sand bags at the community center located at 5115 N. University. Residents must bring their own shovels.
Duson has sandbags available at the Sewer Plant on Betty Ann Street.
Erath City Hall will have sandbags available AT 8:00 AM.
Lafayette has sandbags available at the North Barn at 130 Shantel Road, the old Dugas Road landfill, and the South Barn at 1017 Fortune Road.
New Iberia has sandbags available for city residents at 907 Fulton Street until 3:00 P. M. today.
Vermilion Parish is offering sandbags to residents in need at the following locations:
Public Works, 2211 Leonie Street, Abbeville, LA
Area 1 Barn 13115 Mack Switch Road, Erath, LA
Area 2 Barn, 12002 Calvin LeBouef Road, Abbeville, LA
Area 3 Barn, 29429 Veterans Memorial Drive, Gueydan, LA
Area 4 Barn, 13531 Gladu Road, Kaplan, LA
There will be sand and bags outside of the facility fence. You will need to bring a shovel to fill your own bags.
St. Mary Parish has sandbags on standby for residents who need them. Residents who would like sandbags may call the parish barn at Hanson Canal at 828-4100, ext. 113.
The Village of Maurice is making sand and bags available next to City Hall. Residents will need to bring their own shovels and will have to bag their own sand.
Scott is offering sandbags for residents of the city. The bags are already filled and can be picked up at the maintenance building at 116 Lions Club Road. There is a limit of two bags per door, and officials will check IDs for proof of residency.
