Salvation Army giving away schools uniforms to qualifying families

The Salvation Army will be giving School Uniforms to qualified families and their children again this year. Registration will take place on Thursday, June 5th (3 pm to 7 pm) and Friday, June 6 (10 am to 5 pm) at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 115 E. 3rd St. in Lafayette.

5. Registering families need to bring with them:
a.) Picture ID for main applicant;
b.) Proof of Social Security Numbers for all children
c.) Proof of Income and Bills
d.) Proof of Residence

All qualified families meeting set income guidelines and residing in Acadiana are invited to register: Lafayette Parish, Acadia Parish, Vermilion Parish, St. Martin Parish, St. Landry Parish, Iberia Parish.

The Salvation Army receives donations year round and during the Christmas Season to support programs like the School Uniform Giveaway. Without continued support through donations the Salvation Army could not administer programs like the School Uniform Giveaway.
