A St. Mary Parish group will join thousands of fans from across the state, celebrating the Saints Super Bowl win with a parade in New Orleans on Tuesday.

The players and coaches will ride on floats from 10 different Mardi Gras Krewes.

Berwick resident Janice LeBlanc plans on taking all her friends. They're ready with umbrellas and handkerchiefs to greet the team. They plan to parade and party all the way to New Orleans, aboard a charter bus.

"It's a once in a lifetime thing, it may never happen again," said Leblanc. She is treating her friends to the rolling party. It was her Valentine's Day gift from her husband.

"We've got all the Who Dat songs and all the food and the libation and plenty of it," said parade goer Mary Shannon. They're chartering the trip from Calco Travel . It cost about $700 for six hours of service.

LeBlanc wasn't going to let the opportunity pass her by, after waiting 43 years for it. "If you can go, go all the way," she exclaimed.

"Everybody is so excited, and for those of us who are gonna be lucky to be there, it's gonna be as exciting for us as it was to those people who were at that game last night," said Nelson Cortez.

They're planning to get there early on Tuesday. The parade rolls at five o'clock.

It begins at the Superdome at the corner of Poydras Street and Lasalle Street. The parade route continues to Loyola Avenue, Howard Avenue and around Lee Circle. It moves up St. Charles Avenue to Canal Street, ending on Convention Center Boulevard.
