Autism Society Acadiana will sponsor a FREE safety presentation for parents and family members of individuals with autism spectrum disorders on July 18 at the South Regional Library Auditorium from 6-8 PM. The presenter, nationally-known speaker, Mr. Dennis Debbaudt, is a professional trainer and a parent of a young man on the autism spectrum.
Mr. Debbaudt is the author and co-author of over 30 articles and books since 1993, including Autism, Advocates, and Law Enforcement Professionals: Recognizing and Reducing Risk Situations for People with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and articles for the FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin (April 2001). Debbaudt Legacy Production's training video, "Autism & Law Enforcement Roll Call Briefing Video" is in use by the Department of Homeland Security and hundreds of agencies nationwide.
