Safety Checkpoint Planned In Iberia Parish

Iberia Parish Safety Checkpoint
On March 17, 2010, Louisiana State Police Troop I will conduct a safety checkpoint within Iberia Parish. The checkpoint will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Troopers will be actively looking for vehicles that are not insured. Vehicles without insurance could be towed and the driver issued a citation. Troopers will also be looking for other violations during the checkpoint.
The purpose of this checkpoint is not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police is more concerned with voluntarily compliance with state laws. This checkpoint will help to insure that you and your family are safe on Acadiana roadways.
