BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State Fire Marshal Butch Browning says
officials hope to finalize an investigation into the July 11 Dixie
Landing roller coaster death by next week.
Twenty-one-year-old Lindsay Zeno of Lafayette died at a Baton
Rouge hospital after falling 30 feet from the Xtreme roller
coaster.
Browning said his inspectors, representatives from Mauer Sohne,
the manufacturer of the roller coaster, and Dixie Landing
maintenance personnel have conducted many hours of mechanical and
operational testing, specifically focusing on the restraint device.
Browning said that his office currently is
awaiting the preliminary report from Mauer Sohne.
