The investigation into a fatal roller coaster accident continues this month. State Fire Marshal Butch Browning tells KATC his office will meet with German manufacturer of the ride, Maurer Sohne.
Lindsay Zeno, 21, of Lafayette was killed July 11 when she fell 30 feet from the Xtreme roller coaster at Dixie Landin'. Investigators conducted hours of mechanical and operational testing focusing on the coaster's restraint device.
On October 27 and 28, another test will be conducted. This time it's a dismantling test, where they take the car apart and check the mechanics of it, then reassemble it.
The manufacturer recommended the test be done.
