BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - Former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer, who has his sights set on the presidency in 2012, will hold a public rally Saturday in Bossier City.
The Times of Shreveport says that Roemer intends to announce his presidential aspirations at the rally, which will be held at the Bossier Civic Center.
The 67-year-old Roemer served as governor from 1988 to 1992 and previously was in the U.S. House.
In January, Roemer first said he was considering a presidential run. In March, he launched an exploratory committee for a run for the Republican nomination.
