Robbery at Restaurant on NE Evangeline Thruway

Press Release: On August 4, 2010, at approximately 4:00 am, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 2100 block of the NE Evangeline Thruway regarding an Armed Robbery. The victim, a 28 year old male of Florida, was walking in the parking lot of the Waffle House when he was approached by a black male. The suspect was holding a handgun and demanded the victim's bag and laptop computer. The suspect was last seen entering a dark colored GM pickup truck driven by a second suspect. The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Detectives are asking anyone with information pertaining to the incident or the identity of the suspect to call the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
