The Revenue Study Commission has finished public hearings on the state's tax structure. The commission submitted its final report to the legislature ahead of the session, which begins on Monday, April 8. "We have taken the time to gain comprehensive insight into how we tax and what exemptions exist. As legislators, it is our responsibility to study the laws, review public testimony, and determine the best course of action in regards to both. This detailed look into Louisiana's tax structure will prove extremely valuable to the legislature as we debate tax reform come April," Chairman of the Commission, State Representative Joel Robideaux, R-Lafayette, said.
Videos of all Commission hearings are available on the House of Representatives' website at www.house.louisiana.gov.
