SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - The return of Louisiana National Guard soldiers deployed to Iraq continues this week.
On Monday, 44 soldiers on two buses arrived at Shreveport's Fort Humbug, where friends and family were waiting. More were expected there Tuesday and Wednesday.
Members of the 256th Infantry Brigade have been returning to cities and towns around the state since the weekend after first being taken to Camp Shelby in Mississippi.
Among those returning Monday was Danny Titus of Bossier City, who said he was happy to have completed his latest deployment. His first one was cut short after his jaw being was shattered in a roadside bomb explosion n 2005.
