Restaurant group names new president-CEO

METAIRIE, La. (AP) - Stan Harris, a longtime restaurateur, has
been named the president and chief executive officer of the
Louisiana Restaurant Association.
Harris, a Louisiana native, began his career in the restaurant
industry in the mid-1980s with TJM Restaurant Management, the
largest Ruth's Chris Steak House franchisee. He also operated other
restaurants, including TJ Ribs, Ninfa's Mexican Restaurant and
Ruffino's Italian Restaurant.
Harris, who started work on Monday, will oversee 60 staff
members working for the LRA, the LRA Self Insurer's Fund for
workers' compensation and the LRA Education Foundation.
