Residents in unincorporated areas of Iberia Parish, interested in participating in the parish's recycling program, need to request a recycling bin before July 6, 2012 in order to ensure home delivery by the contractor - The Recycling Foundation.

Delivery of bins to households on the list is scheduled to be completed by the end of July. Curbside pick-up is scheduled to begin Aug. 1, 2012.

Iberia Parish Government urges residents to register for bin delivery. A "request your recycling can" button is located on Iberia Parish Government's website www.iberiagov.net. Residents are asked to register for bin delivery on the website.

Residents interested in obtaining a recycling bin after the delivery date will have to pick up the bin at the Iberia Parish Public Works' facility located at 5013 Avery Island Road.

Recycling service provided twice a month will include single stream service meaning items do not have to be separated into recycling categories. All materials that residents would like to recycle will be placed in one bin. More information about appropriate recyclables is available on the contractor's website www.therecyclingfoundation.com .

Detailed information on the collection routes and times will be available to the public in the near future.
