The man widely-reported to be behind "Busted in Acadiana" was himself, busted by the law Wednesday.
Lafayette police arrested Christopher Hebert and charged him with stalking and cyberstalking. Those charges stem from a Lafayette Parish woman's complaint claiming Hebert threatened her via the internet and over phone messages dating back to November, 2010.
Corporal Paul Mouton with the Lafayette Police Department could not give specific details about comments allegedly made by Hebert to the woman.
Christopher Hebert was first reported as the creator of Busted in Acadiana by The Independent Weekly. KATC has not independentally confirmed that information, but the paper cites individuals close to Hebert as well as internet domain registration records.
Cpl. Mouton adds that Hebert's stalking and cyberstalking charges are not associated with Busted in Acadiana.
As of Wednesday night, Hebert was still being held at the Lafayette Parish bond on $50,000 for the two charges. He's due in court Friday morning.
