Reminder: Digby Avenue to close Monday

Beginning Monday, February 4, Digby Avenue, in Lafayette Parish, will be closed between Verot School Road and Bluebird Drive to allow crews to install new drainage structures.
The work is expected to take approximately three months, weather-permitting.
The detour for this closure includes Verot School Road to Camellia Boulevard to Bluebird Drive.
The work being performed during this closure is related to the first phase of a project to reconstruct the existing lanes of La. 339 (Verot School Road). This $12 million project will involve installing drainage pipe and clearing land along the 3.2-mile road in preparation for construction. Work on the project began September 2011 and is estimated for completion in summer 2014.
