Red White & Boom Preparations

People will pack into Parc International tonight to listen to the sounds of the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and watch the sky sparkle. We spoke with organizers of Red White and Boom and they say, it takes a lot of work to put on such a huge production.

Behind all the music, fireworks and BBQ's, organizers of red white and boom have been preparing for one of the symphony's biggest events of the year.

"We're nervous cause there's a lot that has to happen at one time but we're ahead of schedule this year so we're just ready to get out there and start moving," said Jenny Krueger Acadiana Symphony Executive Director.

A few creative ideas and three months of planning, the preps to pull of this event came together with only a staff of 10 people.

"we have community partners that come out and help which makes it easier. We're very lucky to be able to call somebody like Chubby grammy award winning artist and say hey chubby can you share the stage with us this 4th of july and he's here to help," said Jenny.

Jenny says everyone on staff does the work of two or three people which can be difficult but in the end, it's all worth it .

"Everybody here is really really dedicated and we're a team. We're not going to let one side fall while the other side is going strong. I think that keeps us driving and at the end of the night we say wow we really did that," said Jenny.
