LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Acadian Middle School could become the third Lafayette Parish school in five years to undergo a reconstitution.
The Advertiser reports a reconstitution allows principals and school administrators to revamp the faculty and staff and implement new techniques to help raise academic scores.
Principal Linda Nance, who took over at Acadian Middle in November, has asked district officials for permission to overhaul the school's staff and incorporate new instructional practices to help raise its poor academic test scores.
Acadian Middle received a D from the Louisiana Department of Education in the most recent scores.
