"Reading in Red" Bus Tour

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is hosting the "Reading in Red" Bus Tour on November 16-17, 2009. "Reading in Red" is a bus tour to promote literacy and give back to student-athletes' former elementary schools. Student-athletes will be visiting elementary schools in the Acadiana area, and reading Jady Regard's book Born to Be a Ragin' Cajun to the students. Schools being visited this semester include: St. Bernard Elementary (Breaux Bridge), Carencro Catholic, Carencro Heights, Westminster Christian Academy (Opelousas), St. Michael School (Crowley), North Crowley Elementary School, South Crowley Elementary School, Ridge Elementary School, Cecil Picard/Maurice Elementary School, Mount Carmel Elementary School (Abbeville), Magnolia Elementary School (New Iberia), and Pesson Elementary School (New Iberia). In the spring semester, Lafayette Parish schools will be visited.
