Rayne Debris Pile Almost Gone

An update tonight on that massive pile of debris that's been along I-10 in Rayne since that deadly tornado in March. Rayne Mayor Jimbo Petitjean tells KATC what's left of the debris will be removed by the end of this week.
Most of the debris has already been hauled away to the Acadia Parish landfill. The remaining debris is too bulky to be moved, so crews will first grind it down before taking it to the landfill.
At one point since March the debris field was estimated to be more than 100-thousand cubic yards.
