Rayne Child Injured in Head-on Collision

An 8-year old Rayne girl is hospitalized with severe injuries after a two vehicle crash in Acadia Parish at 8:00 Monday morning. She was in an SUV driven by 34-year old Jeraldine Robinson.
State Police say Robinson crossed the center line on LA 1112 and hit a truck head-on. Both vehicles spun out. The drivers of the vehicles were moderately injured.
The 8 year old girl was seated in the rear of the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Lafayette General Medical Center. A 10 year old boy in the vehicle suffered moderate injuries.
