A Crowley family is wanting to spread the word about a rare brain aneurysm their 4-year-old boy was diagnosed with.
On September 3, 2013, André O'Brien was diagnosed with Vein of Galan aneurysm, which is a very rare and serious condition. A shunt was installed from his brain to his abdominal cavity in order to release the fluid build up in his brain that the aneurysm is causing. This will only relieve his headaches and will not treat the aneurysm.
There are not a lot of specialist who deal with the risky surgery and treatment. The family is at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston
A fundraiser has been set up to assist the family with expenses. Click here if you would like to donate.
