Rapides Parish authorities search for escapee

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A search is on for a Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office inmate who walked away from a work detail in the Alexandria area.
Authorities say 31-year-old Terrell Jerrod Bryant fled Wednesday. He had been serving time for a narcotics conviction.
The sheriff's office says Bryant is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He also has a tattoo of a cross on his left arm and a tattoo of a knife on his right arm.
The Town Talk reports anyone with information on Bryant's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 318-473-6700 or CrimeStoppers at 318-443-7867.
