ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The Rapides Parish School Board could set a potential contract for its next superintendent in March.
The board maintains its plan to name a new superintendent in April, with a potential contract to be discussed at its next meeting.
Personnel committee chairperson Janet Dixon on Tuesday distributed copies of a draft of a proposed contract that was provided to the board by Rapides Parish District Attorney James Downs, the board's legal counsel, on Feb. 5.
It contains blanks for items such as the minimum base salary for the position, automobile allowance and performance targets and objectives.
The board will return to discuss and take possible action on the contract and recommendations on March 5.
