Familiar looking forecast for the remainder of the weekend, but we'll see a change in the weather pattern midweek this upcoming work week.
Sunday will see hot and humid conditions as the atmosphere stays very tropical across south Louisiana.
The heat index will approach triple digits and it will be very muggy outside for the next several days.
Rain chances on Sunday will remain scattered at best with the best coverage expect along Highway 90 and the I-10 corridor.
Heavy downpours will be possible but most places shouldn't see much more then a quarter inch of rain when all is said and done.
Once the work week begins, however, we'll start to see some changes arrive in the forecast.
A front dipping in from the north will stall out along the interstate which will keep unsettled weather with us for several days.
Expect the rain to start Tuesday afternoon, with blanketing showers arriving on Wednesday.
This rain could remain with us through the majority of the week depending on where the front ends up stalling and how long it remains.
Unfortunately we won't get much of a break from the temperatures as the cooler and drier conditions will remain well to our north.
