Heavy rains this morning put down between 1 and 4 inches of rain across Acadiana. Those rains have pushed eastward. Drier and cooler air is moving in so the rains should be more scattered as we head into the afternoon. Temperatures across northern Acadiana will remain in the upper 50s while southern areas should hold in the low to mid 60s.
Another part of the system will drift over tonight and early Thursday, so a few more showers will be possible with additional rainfall totals less than a half inch. Sunshine should return Friday with temperatures remaining below normal. Weekend temps should push back into the 70s with 80s possible next week.
