Another Mardi Gras parade rolled through Lafayette Monday night. Despite the weather, many people still turned out to catch the Queen's Parade and a glimpse of Queen Evangeline.
"It's great. I'm loving every moment of it.," Huey Thompson of Lafayette said.
With rain falling, the temperature fell as well. Since fewer people were lined along the parade route, the floats were able to move a little bit quicker. Even the kids toughed it out to see the bands and catch as many beads as they could. One family from Florida waited patiently for their chance to catch some beads, even with the chance the parade could get called off
"We were worried because we came from Florida to visit grandparents; and if it's canceled then we miss out on Mardi Gras," Jeanette Edwards from said.
